Dave Barry. I discovered his writing when I was assigned to read some of his work for English class. Now, not only is he the author of some published books, but he is also a columnist.
The few stories of Dave Barry’s that I have read are amazing and incredibly funny! While reading it, I could almost hear the excitement, sarcasm, and seriousness in his voice. Though his stories might have been normal everyday stories at first, when he told his stories, he wrote exactly what he was thinking. (And let me tell you, he has some really funny thoughts running through his head!) I think what made him a great story teller was the fact that he described everything going on in his head, and though some people may consider getting into someone’s head extremely boring, it is actually very unique and funny.
